Game animals may be close to the bison values, but bison does not taste “gamey”, therefore making it a very desirable meat.
At Silver Dollar Bison Ranch we raise our bison in a totally natural environment.
The animals are not handled at all during their growth years and they have a very low stress environment.
They are free to roam as they choose in a totally pristine watershed.
“YOU ARE WHAT YOU EAT”
Bison is an excellent healthy choice.
Bison meat is rich in flavor. It can be particularly noticable, if after eating it for a period of time, you return to eating beef. You will then realize the sweeter flavor of bison.
The low fat content of bison also requires cooking at lower temperatures. Do not over cook.
Bison meat does not shrink when cooked, which makes it a better value to the consumer.
